About us

Omniscale was founded in early 2009 by Dominik Helle and Oliver Tonnhofer in Oldenburg, Germany. Omniscale specializes in the production of high-performance geospatial data infrastructures. The founders have diverse experience in the development of geographic information systems and in the field of the OGC standards.

As graduates from the University of Applied Science in Oldenburg with a diploma in geoinformatics and practical experience Omniscales's founders have developed a solid knowledge of the field.

Oliver Tonnhofer has a variety of experiences in the field of server-side development. In addition to his thesis work, he has both private and professional experience. He was responsible for the implementation of various OGC standards in the server project deegree.

Dominik Helle has a variety of experience in web client development. While still a student, he was responsible for the implementation of various web GIS applications. He focused on the development of user-interfaces for the web client OpenLayers and was engaged in the standards of the OGC.
